DeepSeek-R1-Lite-Preview is an AI tool, like ChatGPT created DeepSeek. It is open source so code is available to download and user it. Their web site is https://chat.deepseek.com/

DeepSeek Installation on your PC.

A. Server side installation

1. Download Ollama (in Nepali, you can say LAMA) from ollana.com

  - You will have three different OS options: Windows, Mac, Linux.

  - Select the one you are interested on. 

  - In my case, I am using Windows. Double click on it and install it. 

2. Once Ollama is installed, open your command prompt (cmd)

As of Feb 2, 2025, DeepSeek has 6 models available. You can use any of them based on your machine capacity or requirements. In my case, I am going to use 1.5 Billion version which is about 1.1 GB. You use the latest version 70B (70 Billions parameter) version which is almost 45GB.
